The ever-changing symptoms of Covid.

Covid, symptoms range from a fever, body aches, sore throat, cold symptoms, flu symptoms, nausea vomiting, cough dry or productive, and a headache. You can have one or many of these symptoms. Also, you may have no symptoms at all and still be courageous.

Personal experience

In March 2020, my early symptoms were body aches and a sore throat, then it later progressed to a 103.3 fever with shortness of breath and an unproductive cough. I tested negative for the flu multiple times. I was left wondering if I had covid. Unfortunately, there were no covid tests in my area.

Although, when I recently tested positive (January 2022), my symptoms were a runny nose, headache, and body aches. Luckily none of my family members got the virus and they are not all immunized. There were a few things I did to help protect my family.

Testing for Covid If you have been exposed.

Your doctor can test you for covid, at your doctor’s appointment and you can go to a testing center, or test at home. There are many different testing options.

A PCR means polymerase chain reaction. This test detects the presence of a virus if you have the virus at the time of the test and detects fragments of the virus, after you are no longer infected. Usually, your doctor or healthcare organization will administer this test. (source)

The rapid Covid test antigen tests, lateral flow tests, or LFTs, are rapid antigen tests to detect SARS-COV-2 infection (COVID-19). They are quick to implement with minimal training and have significant cost advantages. These tests give COVID-19 testing results within 5–30 minutes, they can also be administered at home. (source)

If testing positive, the CDC now recommends quarantine for 5 days followed by strict mask (well-fitting mask) use for an additional 5 days, if you test positive. An attempt to clear the air

I placed a large pot of water on the stove, heaping 3-4 tablespoons of each herb. This was an attempt to clear the air. All while making, sure these herbs would be breathed in by myself and my guests. I let the pot boil, steaming up for 1-2 hours.
